Getting started
What is EagerWorkouts?
EagerWorkouts is a workout app that builds a structured session from a few simple choices — your goal, experience level, where you’re training and how long you have — then guides you through it set by set and keeps a record of what you’ve done. It also includes a daily recovery check-in to help you plan your next session.
How do I get started?
After installing the app, answer a few quick questions: your first name, your main goal, your experience level, where you usually train and how often. You can then start the workout recommended on the Home screen, or build your own from the Workouts tab. You can change your goal, experience and training location later from your Profile.
Can I use EagerWorkouts at home or in the gym?
Yes. Choose Home or Gym when you build a workout and EagerWorkouts selects exercises suited to that setting. Home workouts use bodyweight exercises and common home equipment such as dumbbells, kettlebells and resistance bands, so check you have what each exercise needs before you start.
Is EagerWorkouts suitable for beginners?
Yes. You can choose Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced, which adjusts the amount of work in each session, and every exercise includes step-by-step instructions, common mistakes and tips. If you’re new to exercise or have a health condition, please read the fitness and medical disclaimer in our Terms of Use and consider speaking to a qualified professional before you start.
Which devices is EagerWorkouts available on?
EagerWorkouts is available for iPhone on the App Store and for Android on Google Play. On iPhone it requires iOS 15.1 or later.
Creating workouts
How are workouts created?
Choose the areas you want to train (or a Push, Pull, Upper or Lower split), along with your goal, experience level, duration, rest time and location. EagerWorkouts then selects suitable exercises and sets the number of sets and the rep range or hold time using a fixed set of training rules — it doesn’t use AI. You see the full workout on the Review screen before you start.
Can I choose my fitness goal?
Yes. Choose from Build Muscle, Maintain, Lose Fat or Recomposition when you set up the app, and pick a goal each time you build a workout. Your goal affects the number of sets and the rep ranges each exercise uses.
Can I choose my workout duration?
Yes. Choose a duration between 10 and 60 minutes when you build a workout and EagerWorkouts adds exercises to fit it. The duration is a guide rather than a fixed time — how long a session actually takes depends on your pace and your rest between sets.
Can I choose my experience level?
Yes. Choose Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced during setup or when you build a workout. Your experience level adjusts the number of sets and how much work goes into each session.
Can I change an exercise before starting?
Yes. On the Review screen, tap the swap button next to an exercise to choose a suitable alternative. Exercises can’t currently be swapped once a workout has started.
Can I save and repeat workouts?
Yes. Tap Save Workout on the Review screen and give it a name. Your saved workouts appear in My Workouts, which you can open from the Workouts tab, where you can start, rename or delete them. Starting a saved workout uses the same exercises you saved.
Exercises and tracking
How do exercise demonstrations work?
Each exercise has a short, looping video demonstration, along with written instructions, common mistakes to avoid and tips. Tap an exercise’s info button to see them, either on the Review screen or during your workout.
Do exercise demonstrations require an internet connection?
Yes. Demonstration videos are streamed when you view them, so they need an internet connection and may take a moment to load on a slow connection. If a video can’t load, a placeholder is shown instead, and you can still read the written instructions and log your sets.
Can I track sets, repetitions and weights?
Yes. During a workout you log each set as you go: weight in kilograms and reps for weighted exercises, reps for bodyweight exercises, and seconds for timed holds. Entering a weight is optional.
Can I see my previous workout performance?
Yes. While you train, EagerWorkouts shows what you recorded the last time you did that exercise. When your recent results show you’re consistently meeting your target, it may suggest that you’re ready to increase the challenge.
Can I review my workout history?
Yes. The Progress tab shows your weekly goal and streaks, a monthly calendar of the days you’ve trained, this week’s activity and your recent workouts. Open any completed workout to see each exercise set by set, or view a chart of your performance for an individual exercise.
Can I set a weekly training goal?
Yes. Your weekly goal starts from how often you told us you train when you set up the app, and you can change it at any time in your Profile — the Weekly Goal card on the Progress tab links straight there. A day counts when you complete at least one workout, and weeks run Monday to Sunday. Each week you reach your goal adds to your streak, and you can turn on an optional reminder for when your goal is still within reach later in the week.
Subscriptions and billing
Is EagerWorkouts free?
EagerWorkouts is free to download, and your first completed workout is free. To start further workouts you’ll need EagerWorkouts Pro, an optional monthly or annual subscription that gives you unlimited workouts. Without Pro you can still build, review and save workouts, view your progress and history, set a weekly goal and use the recovery check-in.
How much does EagerWorkouts Pro cost?
In the United Kingdom, EagerWorkouts Pro costs £1.99 per month or £17.99 per year. Prices may vary by country and currency, and your app store shows the final price for your country, including any applicable taxes, before you buy. Section 7 of our Terms of Use explains how pricing, billing and renewal work.
Does EagerWorkouts offer a free trial?
Eligible new subscribers may receive a seven-day free trial with EagerWorkouts Pro Monthly or Annual. Availability depends on your App Store or Google Play account and previous introductory offers. Your subscription screen will show the applicable trial, price and renewal terms before you subscribe.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
You can manage or cancel your subscription through the App Store or Google Play. To avoid an unwanted renewal, cancel before your next billing date. Check your subscription settings for the applicable renewal and cancellation details.
In the app, go to the Progress tab, open your Profile, tap the settings icon and choose EagerWorkouts Pro. If you’re subscribed, this takes you to your subscription in the App Store or Google Play.
You can also go there directly. On Android, open the Google Play Store app, go to Menu > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions and select EagerWorkouts, or see Google’s guidance. On iPhone, open Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions and select EagerWorkouts, or see Apple’s guidance.
Cancelling stops your subscription renewing at the end of the current billing period. It doesn’t delete any of your data.
Does uninstalling the app cancel my subscription?
No. Uninstalling EagerWorkouts or clearing its data doesn’t cancel your subscription or stop billing. To stop being charged, cancel through Google Play or the Apple App Store as described above.
How do I restore my purchases?
Open Settings in the app (from the Progress tab, open your Profile and tap the settings icon) and tap Restore Purchases, or use Restore Purchases on the upgrade screen. Make sure your device is signed in to the same Google or Apple account you used to subscribe.
How do refunds work?
Payments are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store, and refund requests are handled by them under their own policies. See Google’s refund guidance or Apple’s refund guidance, and section 9 of our Terms of Use.
Account and privacy
Do I need to create an account?
No. EagerWorkouts doesn’t have user accounts, so there’s nothing to sign up for.
Where is my workout data stored?
Your workout information — your preferences, workouts, history and check-ins — is stored on your device, and the app doesn’t upload it to us. When an exercise demonstration loads, the app sends that exercise’s identifier to our media service, provided using Cloudflare, so the right demonstration can be shown. If you subscribe, RevenueCat processes an anonymous subscriber identifier and your purchase history. Your phone’s own backups may also include the app’s data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Can I use EagerWorkouts across multiple devices?
EagerWorkouts doesn’t sync your workout data between devices — it’s stored on the device where you recorded it. Your phone’s own backup and restore, such as iCloud or Google’s backup service, may copy the app’s data to a new phone, depending on your settings. If you subscribe, you can restore EagerWorkouts Pro on another device signed in to the same Google or Apple account by using Restore Purchases.
How do I delete my data?
You can remove the data stored on your device at any time by clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling it — this can’t be undone. To request deletion of subscription-related data processed by RevenueCat, email support@eagerworkouts.com; we may ask you to verify your purchase first. Deleting data doesn’t cancel a subscription. See our Support page for more.
What information does EagerWorkouts collect?
The app doesn’t currently include analytics, advertising or tracking software, and doesn’t show adverts. Subscription data is processed by RevenueCat, and exercise media is delivered through Cloudflare. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what is processed, why, and your rights.
Troubleshooting
What should I do if exercise demonstrations don't load?
Check that you’re connected to the internet, then move to another exercise and back, or reopen the workout — videos can take a moment on a slow connection. If a particular demonstration never loads, email us the exercise name at support@eagerworkouts.com.
What if my subscription isn't recognised?
Tap Restore Purchases in the app’s Settings while signed in to the same Google or Apple account you subscribed with, and check that the subscription is still active in your app store. If it still isn’t recognised, email support@eagerworkouts.com with your Google Play order ID or App Store receipt. Please don’t send payment card details.
What should I do if the app crashes?
Make sure you have the latest version of EagerWorkouts from your app store, then close and reopen the app. If it keeps happening, email us with your device model, what you were doing and roughly when it happened. Please note that a workout in progress isn’t saved if the app closes before you finish it.
How do I report a bug?
Email support@eagerworkouts.com with a short description of the problem, your device and platform, what you were doing when it happened and, if it’s something visual, a screenshot. Our Support page lists what’s most helpful to include.
